Craft Habit’s newest location in Northeast Raleigh is a colorful dream for those who love to create. After their classes and events increased in popularity, Craft Habit began the search for a new space that could accommodate more than one classroom area and an expansion of their lessons on sewing, metal-working, crotchet, needlecraft, and much more.

Craft Habit’s new building features four separate classrooms, including a sewing studio and a jewelry and metal-working room. The front of the store serves as a browsable retail area, offering products like fabric, beads, thread, embroidery kits, and other material for shoppers’ crafting projects.

Based on the owner’s vision of a “Barbie Dream Store”, Craft Habit’s vibrant colorway includes stripes of pink, yellow and blue around the store that compliments its exterior pink walls. Neutral interior elements and flooring allow shoppers to better see the variety of color options among the front-of-store aisles and product displays. Illuminating the space is a custom light fixture that mimics vivid hues of yarn wrapped around the initials CH, with exposed bulbs resting at different heights from the feature.
