Grifols, a developer and producer of therapies and products within the healthcare industry, has partnered with HagerSmith for the last 20 years on various projects at NCSU’s Centennial Campus, Grifols RTP headquarters offices, their RTP and Raleigh lab facilities and most recently on the creation of the Plasma Logistics Center in Clayton, NC.
Grifols Plasma Logistics Center
Located on the Grifols Clayton Campus, the Plasma Logistics Center is a vital cold storage facility supporting the company’s largest manufacturing site. HagerSmith completed design and construction documents for the high bay automated storage and retrieval facility, with over 7,000 pallet positions at -35 degrees Fahrenheit.
The shipping and receiving areas are maintained at +5C. Double redundant power supplies and cooling are key to the design. Supporting spaces include 12,000 square feet of office and conference space, locker rooms, a two-story entry lobby.
