Having outgrown its building on North Carolina State University’s campus, McKim & Creed relocated its corporate headquarters to the new LEED Silver and Fitwel Certified GlenLake Three building in Raleigh’s GlenLake Office Park. HagerSmith was tapped to program the interior of the company’s new home, with accommodation for their continued growth over two floors and 30,000+ square feet.

McKim & Creed’s space features multiple light-filled common, social and coworking areas that offer employees alternate work areas that encourage collaboration and people-focused meetings. Separate training and conference rooms offer a heads-down learning environment and can host up to fifty attendees.
Throughout the design process, McKim & Creed also emphasized the importance of having multiple styles of gathering areas that accommodated different types of work and meetings. HagerSmith incorporated formal board rooms with enhanced A/V capabilities, small huddle areas and private single-seat phone rooms into McKim & Creed’s office design to ensure employees had appropriate spaces for all needs.
McKim & Creed also championed providing top-tier indoor and outdoor amenities for their staff and employees. An open and welcoming kitchen and break area offers staff room to connect and relax over meals and gather for office events and celebrations. A partially covered exterior patio with plenty of tables and single seating is accessible through the first floor of the building.
