After Franklin County experienced a rapid population increase, the Youngsville ABC Board realized that an additional storefront and operations expansion was needed to better serve the town of Youngsville and surrounding communities. The Board tapped HagerSmith Design’s architects, landscape architects and interior designers to create a full scope, farmhouse-chic standalone building that could adapt and grow with the county’s needs.

The Youngsville ABC Board requested an enhanced storefront that could comfortably hold an expanded range of products with plenty of room to host tastings and special events. The lack of available storage space at Youngsville ABC’s previous location was also an issue, and the Board wanted to ensure that there was ample room in the new location’s layout for a back-of-house stock area.
The Board also requested a designated upstairs space where committee members could meet and run operations from a suite of individual offices and a spacious conference room, complimented by private restrooms and a small kitchenette where food and drink could be prepared for both small and large gatherings.
Drawing on the town’s charming farm community, HagerSmith’s designers envisioned a refurbished barn where vintage wood details met modern, streamlined retail services. The interior of the main storefront features neat, organized racking systems with signage that designates select products. A reclaimed bottle chandelier glows overhead, adding dimension to the second-floor balcony overlooking the retail area.
